Mulled wine with tangerines for autumn and winter

INGREDIENTS
1 liter semi-dry apple cider
2 large juicy tangerines
2-3 cm of fresh ginger root
60 g brown sugar
1 cinnamon stick
3-5 clove buds
1 star anise star
4–6 long cinnamon sticks for decoration

STEP-BY-STEP COOKING RECIPE
Step 1
Cut zest with 1 tangerine. Break the cinnamon stick into several pieces. Squeeze the juice from the tangerines. Peel and chop the ginger coarsely.
Step 2
Pour 200 ml of cider into a pot with a thick bottom. Add sugar, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, star anise and zest. Bring to a boil and cook over medium heat to the consistency of syrup.
Step 3
Reduce the heat. Pour in the remaining cider and tangerine juice. Bring to a gentle boil and immediately remove from heat. Leave on for 10-12 minutes. Strain into mulled wine glasses. Serve warm with garnish with cinnamon.
