Garlic Slices 3 pcs.

Ground chili pepper ½ tsp
Dough baking powder 3 g
Wheat flour 100 g
Deep-frying oil 800 ml

We prepare all the necessary ingredients. Pre-soak for 8-10 hours chickpeas so that it swells.

Peel onions, cut into small pieces. We spread the chopped onion and the swollen chickpea into the blender bowl, pour in about 100 ml of water and grind to a homogeneous consistency.

Add ½ tsp. salt. 3 cloves of garlic and finely chopped cilantro. Mix the chopped chickpeas with garlic, cilantro and bulgur. Let’s stand for a while. Bulgur will get wet and become softer.

Add baking powder, ground chili and mashed cumin. Optionally, add curry or turmeric for the color.

Mix everything thoroughly, add flour to make a plastic dough. Heat 800 ml of deep-frying oil in a large frying pan. Sprinkle the work surface with flour. We form small balls from the prepared dough and roll them in flour.

Dip the prepared balls with a slotted spoon into the heated oil, cook until brownish-golden.

It takes about 2 minutes. Spread the finished falafel on a kitchen towel to remove excess oil.

Serve hot falafel to the table. The ideal addition to falafel will be hummus.
